Every discount in this market is a percentage off a published list price. Put in what you run, and this prices it at today's list, sets the vendor's own committed rates beside it, and shows what the offer on your table is actually worth against both.
What these numbers are, and what they are not
The baseline is your quantities multiplied by published list prices — what the vendor advertises to everyone. That is exactly what makes it the right anchor: it is the same number your account team is quoting a percentage against, and it is checkable.
The committed column is measured, not modelled: it is the vendor's own published rate for the same thing in the same region on a commitment. Where no committed price is published the line stays at list, so the figure is a floor rather than a promise. It assumes every committed unit is actually consumed — unused commitment is the usual gap between a modelled saving and a realised one, and nothing here can see it. Real agreements also carve services out, and nothing here can see that either.
Your discount is yours: it is not stored, not sent anywhere, and this site publishes no benchmark to score it against. There are published figures for what enterprises typically achieve, and they are other firms' measurements of contracts we have not seen — putting one here would make it look like ours.
